Sounds overwhelming right? Where do I begin? This is the first question.
I didn’t really know my audience yet but I always knew that I wanted to start my own business or side hustle.
My first “official” business was setting up candy vending machines around my neighborhood.
I figured …everyone loves candy…should be easy. No one told me all the hours I would spend buying
candy, refilling/cleaning/repairing machines, finding the right venues…Yeah…that was a pain.
Since then one thing I know for sure is that you need to have the right mindset to start a business.
One of my favorite books is by Dana Malstaff.
Dana absolutely nails it because she is a mom and entrepeneur and is genuine about the struggles that we go through
as moms trying to balance family life and running a business.
Her actionable tips will inspire you to keep going on your own unique journey
when it feels challenging to merge both worlds.

When I got started my first business, I thought it would be as easy as setting up candy vending machines all over town.
Boy was I wrong!
There are so many other variables to think about but one of the most important is
Who is your audience?
One of the best series of books I love is from Gundi Gabrielle.
Her book Passive Income Freedom is full of ideas to get started in something and finding
your audience.
The Right Structure

The next part does not sound exciting but it is necessary to lay the right foundation so that your business can continue
running for a long time.
I like Starting a business Quickstart guide by Ken Colwell because it covers just about every step you need to consider
when you get started whether you a beginner or seasoned business owner.
Fun Ideas for the Mompreneur

The Last Thing You Need to Know about starting your business
Finally, one of the most important things about starting your own business is networking.
Find other moms that are also successful entrepreneurs and
make friends! This is so important because there will be days when you feel alone
and it helps to have friends that know what you are going through to
give you encouragement and support.
