Tip #1.) Focus on A FEW Income Streams

It’s totally fine tackling all income streams, eventually. But, to start, it’s recommended that you focus on 2-3. Why? You want to get really good at building up a few income streams and really master it, then move onto more. Hyperfocusing on your income like this helps to give it the attention it needs and skyrocket your income.

Here’s an example:

My work from home blog went from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars per month from month 3 to month 4. Yes, just 1 month. How? I started focusing on ONE income stream hardcore.

Prior to this point, I was dabbling in a little of everything: services, ads, affiliate marketing, etc.

From Month 3 to Month 4, my focus was sponsorship income. I wanted to introduce some amazing brands and awesome products to my audience so I booked a handful of gigs that helped increase my income substantially.

You can do this with ANY income stream above.

It’s good to tackle 2-3 income sources instead of just 1 because diversifying your income is very important. This leads to tip #2.

Tip #2.) Diversify your income

If you only have one income stream and something crazy happens to make that income go away.

What happens?

Do you have to start over?

From scratch?

Could you imagine going from $5K per month blogging to zero?

Unimaginable, right?

This is why diversifying your income is such a good idea. This holds true for diversifying your traffic drivers too.

Tip #3.) Treat your blog like a business

Treating it in a professional way makes a difference. You’ll be more consistent, you’ll treat it like a business and so it’ll start to work for you in that way.  It’s crazy how something like changing your mindset can make a world of difference.

Tip #4.) Keep continuing your education

I believe that regardless of how seasoned a blogger you may be, you want to keep perfecting your skill. Never stop taking courses or reading books. The blogging and internet climate is everchanging. You don’t want to be stagnant. Keep learning new things.
